Yellow is a contemporary work-in-progress for two dancers and two musicians. Choreographed by Laura Murphy and composed by Michael Gallen, Yellow is a single ‘score’ created for dance and music. The four performers dance and play to the same score, offering their own interpretations. As they do, the two art forms merge, yielding in harmony, repetition and asymmetry.

Yellow invites you to look and listen up close. You will be given wearable yellow artworks created by visual artist Rhona Byrne on arrival so that all in the room are dressed in, and for, Yellow.

Yellow is created by Laura Murphy as part of Cork’s Dance Artist in Residence at Firkin Crane with kind support of the Arts Council, Cork City Council and Firkin Crane.
