BODY AWARENESS tells the story of an unconventional, modern American family.
In a small town located somewhere in Vermont, college professor Phyllis has organised a series of events in celebration of “Body Awareness Week”. Together with her partner Joyce, she hosts guest artist Frank whose nude photography is set to be exhibited at the campus gallery.
When Joyce’s grown son Jared – who swears he doesn’t have Asperger’s Syndrome – turns to Frank for advice, and Joyce considers posing nude for Frank, tensions within the family unit are exacerbated in this comedy about family ties, political correctness and putting labels on people who are different from us.
- Runs from Wednesday 19th to Saturday 22nd September, at 8pm.
- Tickets cost €10 full / €8 concession.
