“Try For Free”: Gaiety School of Acting Workshops.

Granary are delighted with our new involvement with the Gaiety School of Acting.

We have been acting as the Cork centre for the school this past academic term and have had great success with the classes for all ages. Coming this January we will be holding “Try for Free” workshops for some of the Adult Classes.

Tony McCleane-Fay, Granary’s own Artistic Director, will be holding a Try for Free “Introduction to Drama“, class on Thursday the 3rd of January from 7pm – 9pm.

The course is a practical, enjoyable and confidence building introduction to the craft of acting and improvisation, held one evening per week over ten weeks.

This is the Gaiety School of Acting’s most popular course and is overseen by experienced professionals who will establish a strong and supportive group dynamic from which aspects of the craft of acting are explored. This course is useful for those who wish to expand their general communication skills. No previous acting experience is required, just a willingness to participate.

On Friday January 4th, Ciaran Bermingham will lead a Try For Free workshop for his course: “Acting for Camera 1” also from 7pm-9pm.

Ciaran is a well established actor of both stage and screen having most recently appeared in “The Tudors” and “Game of Thrones”.
