It’s summer time and everyone is feeling the heat in Pearse Towers, Cork’s largest council estate.
Declan Ryan is the newest tenant of Pearse Towers.
Deano, Lauren’s boyfriend is in awe of the Irish soccer team, who’ve made it to the World Cup.
Ger, Lauren’s father is in the pub.
Lauren is in trouble.
These men would fight for Ireland – but what happens when Ireland fights the woman?

About the Writer/Director:

Megan Roberts is a 21 year old Limerick native.

She is a recent graduate of UCC Drama and Theatre Studies.

Her previous work includes, “MONICA” the highly controversial drama based on the real life affair between Monica Lewinsky and President Bill Clinton.

“MONICA” earned Roberts a trip to ISDA (Irish Student Drama Awards) where she was the only female writer to receive a nomination for “Best Original Writing”.

She would like to pursue a career in writing/directing.

 

About the Cast:

Alexandra Lumley: (LAUREN) Alex makes her Dramat MainStage acting debut in “TROUBLE”, having previously worked behind the scenes. She is currently a third year Drama and Theatre Studies student.

John Browne: (DEAN) John Browne makes his second Dramat MainStage appearance in this production. Last year he donned the role of Bill Clinton in the successful, sold out run of MONICA, also written by Megan Roberts. He is a third year Drama and Theatre Studies student.

Alan Chawke: (DECLAN) Alan makes his fourth appearance in a Dramat production this year with TROUBLE, having performed in “The Gigli Concert”, “Stars Clocks and Lost Things” and “The Third Policeman” in recent years. He is a Drama and Theatre Studies student.

Fionn McDonnell: (GER) Fionn makes his Dramat debut with this role. He is a first year Drama and Theatre Studies student and this will be his first role with the society.
