THE SMALL THINGS
Written by Enda Walsh
30 July – 2 August 8pm
A man and a woman, torn apart by a brutal regime of enforced silence and order, recite their story each day in an attempt to gain the once cherished chaos and the chit chat. They talk of their lives, loves and hates. The painful memories of the dictated routine make them consider the futility of the telling. Can they ever be heard by the other? Are they listening? A breath, a pause, and they continue to speak; to relish in the sound of words and the shape of the small talk.
Conflicted Theatre Company
WE MAKE GODS
5 & 6 August 8:30pm
7-9 August 6:30pm & 8:30pm
She is born with the power to change everything, but in order to keep this from her Orla’s father convinces her that life is a dream and that her dreams are the real world.
A devised piece of physical theatre, We Make Gods creates a new mythology around the gods we’ve created in the modern era. Conflicted Theatre will manifest these digital deities in all their glory so that our heroine can battle them to remind them that we are the ones that make gods. A creative collision between a love of myth and a passion for theatre is brought to the stage with an imaginative and playful use of physicality, stagecraft and storytelling.
