EXTRA SHOW ADDED DUE TO POPULAR DEMAND!
Now running SUNDAY 5 JUNE at 8pm!
two plays by Cork Youth Theatre
A deconstructed version of William Shakespeare’s most famous play. A revenger’s tragedy where the Players play the play under the watchful gaze of the writer, where things often go wrong, where tragedy can be hilariously funny. Featuring a cast of 18 of our older youth theatre members, Hamlet as you’ve never seen him/her before.
To live the American Dream is an aspiration of many young people today. However, the dream in this case is not quite what you think. This is the Choking Game (also known as the fainting game and a wide variety of local slang names) and it refers to intentionally cutting off oxygen to the brain with the goal of inducing temporary syncope and euphoria. There are two distinct methods used to achieve oxygen deprivation: strangulation and self-induced hypocapnia and is popular amongst young people all over the Western world. CHOKE follows Lucy, who tries it with disastrous consequences.
